We’ve loved seeing the new space, added after 13 years on Front Street, come to life this past few months. It’s been especially meaningful to welcome so many familiar and new faces through our doors. As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue refining and improving the space.
Front General Store at 143 Front Street will be temporarily closed for construction starting Monday, January 12, 2026. We’re hoping to welcome you back as early as the end of February, though we don’t yet have a confirmed reopening date. We’ll continue to share updates on Instagram @frontgeneralstore and on our website, frontgeneralstore.com.
While the ground floor is closed, FGS Outpost will remain open during regular hours. Our 6th-floor showroom will also be open to the public during this time, featuring a curated selection of vintage garments that were once reserved for fashion professionals and design research. More details on opening dates, hours, and offerings will be shared soon.
We know closures are never ideal, and we truly appreciate your patience. We’re deeply grateful for the support you’ve shown us over the years, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed space at 143 Front Street very soon.
